SCARF Pet Adoptions Increase 139% With New Website & Brand Focus

Sam Coffey Animal Rescue Friends (SCARF) is a 100% volunteer and foster-based organization that was started in 2016 to assist homeless and unwanted dogs and cats in Junction and Kimble County, TX.
Professional, timely, creative. Cohlab has done numerous projects for SCARF. We were in need of a website makeover as well as help with other aspects of the rescue. They took care of all of our needs and more. Our website looks so much more professional as well as being more user friendly. They also helped with our forms that are used in pet adoption. Things are running much more smoothly since Cohlab has been involved with SCARF.
SCARF is a nonprofit organization that helps rescue and re-home stray dogs and cats in Texas. Their primary challenge was to increase the number of users visiting their website and ultimately increase the number of adoptions they were able to facilitate.
SCARF partnered with Cohlab, a digital marketing agency, to improve its online presence and increase adoptions.
Cohlab began by redesigning the Sam Coffey Animal Rescues’ (SCARF) logo from a very basic template logo to a customized/brand-focused logo. This branding then helped set the tone for the new, clean, modern look and feel of the website.
Cohlab’s second challenge was redesigning the old SCARF website to make it more user-friendly and visually appealing. The website was optimized for mobile devices and included clear calls to action to encourage users to adopt a dog or donate to the organization.
Cohlab conducted thorough keyword research and optimized SCARF’s website for search engines. This included optimizing page titles, descriptions, and content to improve their search engine rankings. They also implemented a content marketing strategy that involved creating blog posts and other informative content to attract visitors to the website.
Cohlab worked with SCARF to claim and optimize their Google Business Profile (GBP), resulting in updated services, service area, Q&A, and description that align better with the organization.
After partnering with Cohlab, SCARF saw a 462% increase in total visitors to its website since its launch in August 2022.
SCARF has also been able to have a more focused brand with the use of its new logo design.
During the time period of January to August 2022, the shelter recorded 67 adoptions. However, after the launch of the new SCARF website in August 2022, adoptions increased significantly. Between September 2022 and May 2023, the shelter recorded 160 adoptions. That is a 139% increase in adoptions.
The new website made SCARF easier to find online. The design increased trust and made it easier to complete an application, leading to increased adoptions.
